The short version: we don't collect personal data, we don't require accounts, and we don't sell anything about you. Your QR codes are generated entirely in your browser.
1. Who we are
qrcode-free.io is a free QR code generation tool operated as part of the Truly Free Tools network. We provide browser-based utilities monetized through advertising. We are not a data company.
2. What data we collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the site:
- Server logs: Standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes and are not used for advertising targeting.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, session duration, device type). This data is anonymized and does not identify individuals.
- Advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads.
3. What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect the content of your QR codes. URL, WiFi credentials, vCard data, and all other inputs are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.
- We do not require account registration.
- We do not collect email addresses.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Cookies
We use cookies only for Google Analytics and Google AdSense. No first-party tracking cookies are set. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting the functionality of our tools.
